We would like to express our sincere appreciation for your longstanding support and cooperation over the years. With your continued support, we have been able to establish the Mitsubishi Electric brand in Malaysia and build strong and enduring relationships.

After careful consideration by the Group’s regional operations and in our effort to adapt to the evolving market conditions and better serve our community, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (“MELCO”) has decided to proceed with a strategic business restructuring in Malaysia. The restructuring forms part of a broader initiative to streamline and consolidate the Group’s regional operations, improve operational efficiency and establish a more sustainable structure for the continued servicing of customers within the region.

As part of this restructuring, MESM will be liquidated, and the business currently conducted by MESM will be transitioned and continued as follows.

• Factory Automation(“FA”) business:
  • To further strengthen our support structure in the Malaysian market, we are transitioning our FA equipment business to a new operational framework within the Mitsubishi Electric Group in Malaysia. Regarding the FA equipment business, starting in November 2026, Mitsubishi Electric Asia Pte. Ltd. (“MEAP”), MELCO’s sales company in Singapore, and designated companies in Malaysia will collaborate to provide sales, warranty and after-sales services.
  • We also plan to transition the NC services business to a new support structure by March 2027. Details such as the specific operating entities and the official effective date will be announced once determined.
• Living Environment (“LE”) business:
  • From January 2027 MEAP will continue to develop the business in Malaysia, including sales, warranty and after-sales services.

MELCO will continue its business in Malaysia. We would like to assure you that MELCO’s commitment to its dealers and customers will remain unchanged. Accordingly, arrangements will be implemented as part of the restructuring to facilitate an orderly transition of the relevant customer support with the new business identity. We remain committed to our mission and values, we believe the changes will better position us for future success.
